Blessings are with your elders

Blessings are with your elders

443                                                           IKRAM-UL-MUSLIM

neither exceeds the proper bounds and nor does he turn away from it; and honouring a just ruler.
(Aby Dawud)

Note:  The man who has memorised the Qur'an ought to be regular in recitation, and makes no excesses in pronouncing its verses for name and fame.   (Badhl-ul-Majhud)

147.  Abu Bakr RadiyAllaahu 'anhu narrates: I heard RasuulUllaah SallAllaahu 'alaihi wa  aalihii wasallam saying: He who honours a king appointed by Allaah Tabaaraka wa Ta'alaa in the world, Allah will honour him on the Day of Resurrection. He who dishonours a king, appointed by Allah 'Azza wa Jall in the world, Allah will dishonour him on the Day of Resurrection. (Musnad Ahmad, Tabaraani, Majma'uz-Zawaaid)

148.  AbdUllaah ibne 'Abbaas RadiyAllaahu 'anhuma narrates that RasuulUllaah SallAllaahu 'alaihi wa  aalihii wasallam said: Blessings are with your elders. (Mustadrak Hakim)

Note: This means that those of old age have done more virtues and as such, they are more blessed. (Hashiyatul Targhib)

149.  'Ubaada ibne Saamit RadiyAllaahu 'anhu narrates that RasuulUllaah SallAllaahu 'alaihi wa  aalihii wasallam said: He is not amongst my followers who neither shows respect to our elders, nor mercy to our youngsters and does not recognise the rights of our 'Aalim (Scholar).   (Musnad Ahmad, Tabaraani, Majma'uz-Zawaaid)

A man asked RasuulUllaah (SallAllaahu ‘alayHi wa ‘AaliHii Wasallam)! Should I seek permission to enter where my mother lives? He (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam) replied: Yes. This man said: Even if I live in the same house with her? RasuulUllaah (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam): Seek her permission. The man said: I serve her (so I have to go frequently). RasuulUllaah (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam): Seek her permission, would you like to see her naked? The man said: No. RasuulUllaah (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam): Well, then seek her permission

As-Salaam is a name amongst the names of God, which He sent down on earth. Therefore, spread Salaam amongst yourselves. Verily when a Muslim passes by a group of people and says Salaam to them and they reply, the one who initiates Salaam, pets a degree of excellence over the people who were offered Salaam. If they do not reply then Angels, who are superior to humans, give a reply to the one who offered Salaam

God has decreed that you worship none but Him, and (that you show) kindness to your parents. If one of them or both of them were to attain old age with you, say not a word of disrespect to them, nor repulse them, but speak to them a gracious word. And lower to them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: My Rabb! Have Mercy on them both, as they did care for me when I was small
